Welcome to the BWOMI Small Group Resource Center! What Is a Small Group?
A small group connects people who have similar interests, who are dealing with the same issues, or who want to focus on the same things.
What Are BWOMI Small Groups Like?
BWOMI small groups are diverse. They reflect the diverse needs and interests of the BWOMI family and are of two types:
- Life Groups. They are formed on the basis of a shared need, similar interest, or common activity; a group of individuals come together based on what they share in common. These groups enjoy some degree of autonomy within limited guidelines. These groups are led and manned by volunteers.
- Ministry Teams. They are established by the various operations (or departments) of a BWOMI church. These groups are started to meet the needs of the church. They do not enjoy any form of autonomy because they are controlled by the church administration. Examples of ministry teams are the Usher Team, Praise Team, Sound Team, and Hospitality Team. These teams are overseen by a member of the pastoral staff and are manned by volunteers.
